What cookies are

Cookies are small files placed on your device by a website. They are used to make a site work, to remember choices, and by some services to measure how a site is used. Some are set by us, and some by third parties whose booking tools, virtual tours and review widgets appear on our pages.

Nothing loads until you say so

When you first visit, a banner asks what you are happy with. Until you choose, the only thing stored is a record of that choice. The booking tools, virtual tours, review widgets and any measurement are not loaded at all — so they cannot set a cookie. Where a section of the site needs one of those tools, you will see a short note in its place with a button to load it.

  Loads our table booking, wedding enquiry form, 3D virtual tours, the map on our contact page and guest reviews. These come from Liveres, Bridebook, Matterport, Google Maps, Elfsight and Hitched, who may set their own cookies.

• Analytics

  Your choice

  Helps us understand which pages people use, so we can improve them. Never used to identify you personally.

The essential category covers one thing only: a small record in your browser of the choice you made, so we do not ask you again on every page. It is not used to identify you and it is not shared.

Measurement

We do not currently run any analytics or measurement on this website. If that changes, Google Analytics 4 will be used, it will run only if you accept analytics cookies, and this page will be updated first.

Each of these providers sets its own cookies once loaded, and their names and lifetimes are governed by their own policies. If you would like the detail for a particular service, email us and we will point you to it.

Managing cookies in your browser

As well as the choice above, every major browser lets you block or delete cookies in its settings. Blocking them altogether may stop the booking, tour and enquiry tools on this site from working, and may mean the cookie banner appears on every visit because we cannot remember your answer.
